CLICK-ing the release button on your skis after a big day in the Austrian Alps, you are welcomed out of the snow and into the Mafi Ski and Health Chalet.

Drawing inspiration from Mafi’s connection to Austria, the Chalet offers mulled wine and Austrian fare, as well as having massage therapists on hand to ease sore muscles after your time on the slopes. 

The site includes inside and outside areas. A firepit and food cart with some pine trees with fake snow are placed outside to create an Austrian atmosphere.

Inside, the 7-meter-long feasting table at the very right of the entrance, bursting with beautiful flowers and timber samples scattered along its length is the hero of the whole space. The table is made from Mafi featured timber slabs that are tied together to not only function as a table itself but also give visitors the chance to feel the textures of various kind of timbers with their hands. All windows and doors are decorated with fake snow and skiboards to create the Chalet mood. Dried flowers and earthy colour scheme are chosen with the aim of warming up space and creating a relaxed environment. All the decoration and preparation are done and finished on the spot to keep to the tight deadline.  Near the back are some seating booths clad in textured timber and covered with warm throws and furry pillows.

During the night of the event, the firepit is lit and a small party is held. Visitors gather around the fire pit to have a chat, share stories and enjoy the movie projected on the big wall opposite the
